Reporting
Dashboard
See what is waiting on you and the numbers that matter for your role, on a board of widgets you can arrange.
The Dashboard is a board built for your role. It greets you by name and leads with your own work: how many items are waiting on you, and which have waited longest. Below that are the headline numbers, charts and tables chosen for your role — from portfolio items and work stream health to costs and reviews.
Use it as your starting point each day, to see what needs you and how work is going before you dive into the detail.
Before you start
- Open Dashboard from the Reporting section of the sidebar.
- The widgets you see depend on your role. If you cannot see the Dashboard, your organisation may not use it, or your role may not include it. See Understanding roles.
Understanding the board
Every role’s board starts with the same top row about your own work. The rest of the board depends on your role.
What needs you
My Task Counts shows four counters for the items waiting on you — the same items as Needs you in My Tasks:
| Counter | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Write Tasks | PRD sections you have been asked to write. |
| Approval Tasks | Things you sign off: PRD reviews, delivery gates and work streams. |
| Delivery Tasks | Things you have to do: board tasks, intake items and, if your organisation uses Support, support tickets. |
| Discussions | Idea discussions waiting for your reply. |
Select a counter to open My Tasks.
My Outstanding Tasks lists the five items that have waited longest for you, with how old each one is. Select an item to open it, or select View All to open My Tasks.
Headline numbers, charts and tables
Below the top row are the figures and charts for your role. Each role has its own set:
| Role | Examples of what you see |
|---|---|
| CIO | Portfolio Items, Active Work Streams, Reviews Awaiting Sign-off, AI Spend (30 days), Projects by Status, Work Stream Health, Portfolio Items by Feasibility Score |
| CFO | YTD Actual Spend, Forecast Overrun, CapEx / OpEx, Monthly Burn, Cost by Category (£000s), Top Overspends by Variance, Reforecasts Awaiting Approval |
| CTO | Open Tasks, Overdue Tasks, Active Work Streams, AI Tokens (30 days), Open Tasks by Board Column, AI Spend by Model, Work Streams At Risk |
| Team Lead | Open Tasks, Overdue Tasks, Tasks In Review, Work Streams by Phase, Reviews Awaiting Sign-off, Review Approvals per Day (90 days) |
| Product Manager | Portfolio Items, Items Under Review, Average Feasibility Score, Portfolio Items by Status, Work Stream Health, My Work |
| Engineer | My Open Items, My Sign-offs, Open Tasks, My Tasks, My Work by Type, Overdue Tasks, Work Stream Health |
If your role does not have its own board, you see the CTO board.
Widgets come in several forms: headline figures, bar and line charts, pie charts, gauges, progress lists and summary tables. Tables are kept short; use the widget’s menu to see the full list.
Sort, filter and drill in
Hover over a widget to reveal its ⋯ menu, where offered. Depending on the widget, the menu lets you:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sort by | Changes the order of a table or list. |
| Filter | Narrows the widget to one group. Select All to clear it. |
| Period | Changes the time range: for example Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months, This year or All time. |
| View link | Opens the full list behind the widget, such as View projects, View portfolio or Open my work. |
If a filter leaves nothing to show, the widget shows No matches with a Clear filter button. A widget with no data yet shows Nothing to show yet.
Arrange the board
- Select Customise at the top right.
- Drag a widget by its handle to move it. You can reorder widgets within a row, move them to another row, or drop them between rows to start a new row. A row holds up to four widgets side by side.
- To hide a widget you do not need, select its hide button. Hidden widgets move to a Hidden tray at the bottom of the board.
- To bring a hidden widget back, select it in the Hidden tray.
- Select Done when you are finished.
What to expect
- The top row always reflects your current work, so the counters go down as you finish items in My Tasks.
- On narrower screens, rows of three or four widgets wrap to two across, then one.
- If a widget cannot load, it shows an error with an option to try again.
