Administration
Administration
Manage the people in your workspace, how they are organised, and what they are allowed to do.
Administration is where your organisation’s people are set up. Everything else in Paradym Next relies on it: who can be assigned a task, who reviews a PRD section, which team works on a project, and which pages each person can open.
You see this section only if your role includes access to people management. Some actions, such as changing a member’s access role or editing roles, need an additional management permission.
Pages in this section
| Page | What you use it for |
|---|---|
| Members | Invite people, edit their details, change their access role and deactivate them. |
| Teams | Group people into teams with an owner. Teams can be added to projects and work streams in one step. |
| Departments | Group people by department and choose who reviews PRD sections written for each one. |
| Roles & Permissions | Review the built-in roles and create custom roles with their own mix of permissions. |
How the pieces fit together
- A member is a person who can sign in. Each member has one access role, which decides what they can see and do.
- A member can belong to any number of teams and departments.
- Teams decide who works together. Adding a team to a project or work stream adds all of its members.
- Departments decide who reviews. When a PRD section is written for a department, its reviewers are offered as the shortlist for that section.
- Roles are defined once, in Roles & Permissions, and then assigned to members on the Members page.
Typical workflow
- Create your departments and mark their reviewers.
- Create any custom roles you need beyond the built-in ones.
- Invite members, choosing their job title, departments and access role.
- Create teams and add members to them.
