Work stream activity
Read everything that has happened to a work stream, newest first, from updates and gate approvals to task changes.
The Activity tab is a work stream’s full history. Where the project’s activity feed keeps to the headlines, this feed includes the detail: every update, every gate approval and every task that moved.
Use it to find out when something changed and who changed it, to catch up on a stream after time away, or to check the reason recorded for an emergency override.
Before you start
Open a work stream, then select the Activity tab.
Understanding the feed
The feed shows the newest events first, grouped by day. It includes:
| Event | Example |
|---|---|
| Updates | An update recorded on this work stream. |
| Gates | A gate was reached, approved or reassigned, or ran past its time budget. |
| Stages | The work stream moved on to its next stage. |
| Tasks | A task moved to a different column. |
| Approvals | The work stream or one of its sub-boards was approved, or an emergency override was used. |
| Health and risks | The stream’s health changed, or a risk was raised or resolved. |
Routine events in a row, such as a run of task moves, fold into one line. Select the line to expand it and see each event. Updates and risks always stand on their own line.
Search the feed
- Type in Search activity… at the top of the tab.
The feed narrows to events that match what they say or who did them. If nothing matches, you see Nothing matches that search.
See earlier activity
The feed loads the most recent events first. Select Show earlier activity at the bottom to load more.
What to expect
If nothing has happened yet, you see No activity yet. Updates, gate approvals and task changes on the work stream appear here as they happen.
