My Tasks

See everything waiting on you in one list — reviews, write-ups, approvals, tasks and discussions — and open each one to act on it.

Work reaches you from many places in Paradym Next: a product manager asks you to sign off PRD sections, a work stream needs your approval at a gate, a task is assigned to you, or someone triaging your idea asks you a question. My Tasks gathers all of it in one list, so you do not have to check each area separately.

Each row tells you what kind of work it is, where it stands and how long it has waited. Select a row to open the right screen for it.

Before you start

  • Open My Tasks from the sidebar. The badge next to it shows how many items need you right now — the same number as Needs you on the page.
  • When something new is assigned to you, the notification bell in the top bar lets you know.
  • If your role does not include Delivery, My Tasks lists only the planning work stream tasks assigned to you.

Understanding the list

ColumnWhat it shows
WorkThe item’s title, with context underneath — for example, the project and work stream, or how many sections you are reviewing and who asked.
TypeWhat kind of work it is. See the table below.
StatusWhere the item stands, such as New, Re-review, In progress or Your turn.
WaitingHow many days the item has waited for you, or today.

Sign-offs for the same portfolio item are grouped into one row, for example “3 sections · from Alex Morgan”.

GateApprove a delivery gate on a work stream. The work stream. See Pipeline and approvals.

DiscussionReply to a discussion about an idea. The discussion. See Idea discussions.

If your organisation uses Support, support tickets assigned to you can also appear, with the type Ticket.

How long it has waited

The Waiting figure counts the days since the item reached you. It turns amber, then red, as the item gets overdue, so you can see at a glance what to deal with first.

Switch between Needs you, Waiting and Signed off

The list opens on what needs you. Use the Status filter in the toolbar to switch view. Each option shows how many items it holds.

ViewWhat it contains
Needs youItems where the next move is yours: new and revised sign-offs, declined change requests to acknowledge, discussions where it is your turn, and tasks that are not finished.
WaitingWork you have passed back to its owner, such as sections where you requested changes, and discussions waiting for the other person’s reply.
Signed offWhat you finished in the last 7 days: approved sign-offs, resolved discussions and finished tasks.

Find an item

  1. Type in the search box to find items by title or context.
  2. Use the Type filter to show only Sign-offs, Tasks or Discussions.
  3. Use the sort menu to order the list by Most recent, Waiting, Work, Type or Status.

To reset everything, select Clear filters. The list shows 25 items per page.

Open an item

  1. Select a row.

Paradym Next opens the right screen for that kind of work.

  2. Do the work, then return to My Tasks using the My Tasks link in the breadcrumb.

When you finish an item — by signing off, resolving a discussion or moving a task to done — it leaves Needs you and the sidebar badge goes down.

What to expect

  • When nothing needs you, the page shows You’re all caught up and Nothing needs you right now.
  • If a view is empty after you filter it, you see Nothing here with a short explanation, such as Nothing signed off in the last 7 days.
  • New work arrives from other people’s actions, so the list keeps itself up to date while you have it open.

Good to know

  • The My Task Counts and My Outstanding Tasks widgets on the Dashboard show the same items as this page.
  • A row that cannot be opened still stays in the list, so outstanding work is never hidden. This can happen if the area it came from is not available to your organisation.
