Use case - Accelerate software delivery

Your own software factory.

Paradym Next provides the architecture for your own software factory, from idea submission and planning to code execution through Next Studio. Agents work from your business context and policies. Customise workflows and compliance controls to your processes, with comprehensive reporting and an audit trail throughout.

Current situation

Writing code got faster.
Deciding what to build did not.

AI coding tools need complete requirements before they start. Writing those requirements needs knowledge of your systems, your policies and your people.

Most of that knowledge sits in scattered documents and in people’s heads. Planning by hand cannot keep up with the speed of the tools.

Deciding by hand is slow

Workshops, sprint planning and review cycles were built to refine a specification over months, not to complete one before any code is written.

Planning needs context

Every specification is assembled from scattered documents, applications nobody fully understands, and knowledge that lives only in people’s heads.

Regulation raises the bar

More rules, changing faster, different in every market. Teams must identify which requirements apply and account for them in specifications, adding time and complexity to planning.

Nobody can see or control it

Progress sits in a fragmented stack and in people’s heads. Cost and delay build unseen until the next planning meeting.

Industry research

Code is outpacing delivery.

AI coding tools have increased code output more than releases. Requirements, reviews and approvals remain bottlenecks between writing code and shipping software.

The approach

Agents do the work. You bring the judgement.

One workflow takes a business request through to governed code, drawing on what Next knows about your systems at every step, with human review and approval where you specify it.

Outcomes and benefits

Fewer meetings, fewer tools. More productivity, more insight.

Context and prompts arrive in the workflow automatically. Planning and review meetings become approval steps. Leadership sees progress without waiting for the next planning meeting.

01

One route for every request

Requests are shaped, scored and compared using consistent criteria, helping your team assess priorities and decide what to take forward.

02

Delivery connected to the decision

Every task carries its requirements and the reasoning behind them. Engineers know what to build and why.

03

Visibility without the meeting

Status, cost and risk come from the workflow itself, not from a separate account of progress.

Governed throughout

Configure mandatory or advisory controls within each agent workflow. Decide which actions run autonomously and which require human review or approval.

How governance works
Next Studio

Engineers get the context, not another process.

Next Studio delivers each approved task to the engineer with its requirements, designs and governance attached. Agents plan with the engineer, hand off to the coding tool they already use, and check the result against your standards.

01

Plan with the task in context

Next Studio loads the task, its requirements and the relevant code. The engineer sharpens the plan in chat, then hands a drafted prompt to the coding agent.

02

Designs travel with the work

Approved mockups and walkthroughs from the design stage are attached to the task, so engineers and reviewers can compare the implementation with the agreed design.

03

Requirements the agent can check against

The product requirements document, user stories and acceptance criteria sit beside the code, providing a basis for checking each change.

Living documentation

Documentation that updates itself.

As changes are completed, Next retains and updates its understanding of the application. Code changes can automatically update the code graph and related documentation. Your team supplies changes such as new policies and regulatory requirements, so future work can use the revised context.

FAQ

Common questions

Can we use our own approval process?

Yes. Workflows can reflect your review steps, approval roles, and scoring criteria.

Does Next replace our coding tools?

No. Engineers keep the coding tool they already use. Next delivers the approved context and prompts to it.

What happens to our Git and CI?

They stay where they are. Code commits into your own Git and CI, and your release process is unchanged.

Is our governance applied inside the engineers’ tools?

Yes. Next Studio carries contextual governance into the engineering tools: the approved requirements, policies, permitted models and review steps travel with each task to the engineer’s coding tool. Returned code is checked against those standards before it is approved.

Do all contributors need to attend the same meetings?

No. People can provide information and review work at different times within the workflow. Teams can still meet when discussion is needed.
